Our group of 5 friends decided to cruise on Norwegian Breakaway because of the convenience of leaving from a local port in NYC, We all reside in New Jersey and it makes getting to our ship very easy and almost carefree. My last cruise was from Bayonne, NJ and I must admit, much nicer and easier to travel from compared to NYC but, at least we didn't need to arrange and plan air travel to get to our cruise ship.

The Breakaway is a very, very large ship and is like a floating city. It is also not a brand new ship and shows some smaller signs of wear, aging and is skating on being considered outdated due to the older interior decor.

Our balcony room 14848 was a nice room but could be reconfigured to allow more room between the the beds when sleeping two sepearatey. I adore my friend who I shared this cabin with but, we would have appreciated a little more space between the beds and we would have been delighted if the room had a curtain to close off the bed area from the sitting area with the TV. I am a night owl and was forced to retire early so not to disturb my cabin mate.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BC

The space could be better designed to accomodate two travelers with more space between the two beds and a curtain to divide the sitting area from the bed area. Loved the shower space in this cabin.
