Friends recommended it. I thought it would be great, and it was. However, there were many situations in which the concept of Free Styling meant mixing with people with whom I have nothing in common. Our culture has reached a level in which there is little respect, disgusting dress codes (no code at all), terrible manners etc. There were security issues on the cruise among people I would never associate with on land.

Free Styling is a great idea for folks who should be sequestered from people with standards and manners, hygiene and respectful behavior.

The NCL experience was excellent, excluding the above remarks. the Ship, staff, food, entertainment and cleanliness was far above my expectations. I would pick NCL again, but I would design my time differently and would recommend the Haven suites if one can afford them. I look forward to my second cruise, and it may well be with NCL because of this experience.
