Just come back from a mini cruise on the Pacific Eden with my mum. It was a fab 3 day weekend mini break and even though we only disembarked at Bunbury, I'm really glad we did as I have always overlooked this town en-route to Margaret River. We explored some hidden gems of shops, quickly perused the museum and noticed how many trendy little coffee shops etc were around. The buses to and from the ship were plentiful. The cooking shows and main entertainment shows were (in my opinion) excellent - I also made use of the gym facilities ...so much to do for the money we spent. I loved our room with a view with its comfy beds (though my mother who is a seasoned cruiser did not like the fact we were "upgraded" to the 4th floor and that we had an interleading door to another room which had a young family) so occasionally we heard some next door noise. The customer service was hit and miss....some crew members were very welcoming and accommodating whilst others were more surly (we later found out many crew were coming to the end of their contract and were mostly likely tired). I follow a gluten -free diet and "The Waterfront restaurant "were mostly accommodating to changing a meal to fit in with this ...however I thought they could have provided a bigger option for a gluten free dessert other than meringue and fruit. The biggest complaint over and again from the ladies onboard was the lack of working toilets on each floor and on the starboard side many of the windows were dirty. On the whole, I would recommend this cruise as I thought it offered fantastic value for money, the gym facilities and services were good and the entertainment and indoor movie theatre were excellent! Embarking and Disembarking the ship went smoothly too!
