just returned. Allure of the Seas did not disappoint, amazing cruise. the other in depth reviews on the forum very helpful and detailed so will not try and recreate.
If you have My Time Dining, it is important you understand how it works. Two of the restaurants are traditional fixed 1st and 2nd seatings. If you have My Time Dining in the 3rd dining room, you can can either show up as you please or schedule specific reservation time (which can be varied) any night. Sounds great but when we tried the just show up thing and we waited over 45 minutes before giving up. if you just show up you will wait. likely a long wait. when tried to make reservations, nothing earlier than 9:15PM. expressed my displeasure with this arrangement and finally end up speaking with My Time Dining Head Manager who switched us to traditional dining, but it was not easy.
from what I picked up from our conversations regarding this issue. there is not enough room to accommodate all passengers between usual dining hours 5:30-8 in main dining rooms. thus, staff is trained to push people to the buffet, push people to specialty dining, push people to eat as late as 9:15. while waiting to speak with manager, watched the same conversation play out over and over. staff will politely do or say anything to make you go away. just use traditional dining or have you My Time reservations scheduled in advance and you will be ok. otherwise, you have been warned,
