Chose the cruise because 1. we wanted to go to the Normandy memorials/beaches 2. there was a 60% discount for second person 3. we are Celebrity Captain's Club and some of our status transferred. The ship left Southampton and was 90% Brits onboard - a friendly group of people. We especially enjoyed the private room on deck 14 for nightly happy hours or even just to get away during a cruising day to read. I liked the layout of the cabin over the typical Celebrity cabin - I found there to be more room in the closet with convenient shelving. The balcony was smaller but the weather wasn't warm so we didn't spend much time outside. What was confusing and served to cause us problems for one of our shore excursions is the concept of "ship time" vs. local time. I don't recall this ever being an issue with our Celebrity cruises but we were told to keep with "ship time" which was confusing with our tour pickup time. More children/families on this cruise. Never met the captain although we went to most nightly entertainment events.

Le Havre

Just had time to drive through this charming city - wish we had had more time but due to the no-show of Normandy Tours, we got a late start.
