The reason we chose this cruise was the time of the year and the Enchantment of the Seas had good reviews. The staff were very friendly and helpful and very accommodating. This was a honeymoon and 50th birthday cruise and the staff did everything to make it extremely memorable and pleasant. The ship needed to be refurbished as it was looking a little old. The paint on the outside was peeling and rusty looking, we looked like the forgotten family member at all the ports we stopped at. The interior needed to be refurbished as well. The carpets were worn, the decor was dated, the outdoor furniture was definitely well used. It didn't have the grandeur we had expected from the cruise line. There was a lot to do on the ship, the activity director and team ensured there were things taking place each afternoon at departure. Each excursion was great, there was so much to do and the people were very friendly and approachable, the only downside was at Coco Cay when we couldn't do the parasailing due to high winds after we got onto the ocean. The food was amazing and the restaurants were clean. We especially enjoyed having Elmer "Fudd" for our statement room attendant, he was great to see every day.
Upon our arrival we were informed the deck was being cleaned because of debris from the smoke stack. The door to the deck you had to fight with to get it to lock. The carpet was worn, the doors on the cupboard were worn and the decor was very dated.
