This cruise served its purpose that was to see Hawaii and be in port everyday. This ship does give you the advantage of not having to sail 4 days out at sea till you get to Hawaii. NCL has a nice business for themselves with this ship. They are the only cruise line allowed to port in Hawaii, so they have a monopoly in being the only line that avoids days at sea to get to Hawaii.

They do have a contract with a hotel in Waikiki on the beach front. This is a nice hotel is very busy a congested when you are trying to check in, but the hotel is in decent shape, and they do work to keep the guests happy. The nice thing about booking the hotel the day before is that the porters come earlier and shuttle your luggage to the ship. We chose not to go to the ship early, due to you have very limited time in Honolulu that is a negative factor.

The ship is a smaller ship this allows for them to go to ports the bigger ships can't get into. Also another advantage is that you only have to take 1 tender out of the 4 main islands, that is in Kona. All the rest of the ports you get to be docked and just step off onto the pier. This ship is also different than other ships it does not have a casino, this does allow for more space on its decks for more restaurants. Even though this ship is small rarely did you feel crowded.

Cabin Review

Obstructed Oceanview

Cabin OK

I did state in my review about this. Just to review NCL truely doesn't give you enough information to know how obstructed your oceanview will be. If you are by the elevators on the 7th deck you will get some window. But if you are in the mid ship range and 4-5 cabins away from the elevator you will have a lifeboat completely blocking your window and all you will get is daylight. As well thee is no room rate reduction they charge the same amount blocked or not blocked.
