We choose this cruise as it was an area we wanted to see, our travel agent suggested it as there were some good deals and a newer ship. The ship was newer, with far too many mirrors and shiny surfaces, hard for the crew to always keep polishing. We were in Cabin 102, which was a very noisy location, it was right below where the gangway is, so everytime it was pulled in or put out you would hear loud banging, etc. , especially on the early morning arrivals and departures. We were very disappointed in the food, there seemed to be a lack of protein on the dinner plate, very little seasoning and some strange pairings. I think there is a problem when people start sending food back, or ordering off the any time menu. We had a tour of the galley where there were some cookies baking at the time, smelled very good, however we never saw those cookies, (think they were for the crew). We always had good service if we sat on the port side of the ship. Most of the walking tours were alright, we did have a couple of guides that were not very good, couldn't answer our question as to where the "Toy Museum" was, she was more interested in getting herself a new headset. The audio system, wore for the tours was a bit of a drag, always had to reenter the right code, and even then they only wanted to work if we used the guides code card.
Cabin was always kept clean. At one time there was an awful smell in the hallway of these cabins, and in some of the cabins. I believe some of the filters were changed in the A/C and it helped. Bathroom door is too close to the bed, awkward to get in and out of.
