Thank goodness for the stunning beauty of Alaska, because NCL's Norwegian Sun left a bit to be desired.

This cruise was my second with NCL (our first was last year on the Norwegian Star)- and my 32nd cruise, overall. We booked a category AD Penthouse for this trip - on the Star last year we had booked a Penthouse, but were magically upgraded to the Owner's Suite. So heading into this cruise, we knew the bar had been set high by our previous upgrade, so we set our expectations accordingly. The Star and the Sun both debuted in 2001, so we were expecting the same "feel" for this cruise as our last. Overall, we had a wonderful time. In my review, I will be honest about the high's, the low's and why we think the this "Sun" was having a bit of a cloudy day.
