We gave our adult children a holiday vacation. They each choose a port or city they would like to visit. This cruise hit most of them, plus we did our own land tour before boarding. The ship had enough activities for all ages. It was clean, modern, with a friendly staff who really seemed to enjoy their jobs. Boarding and disembaekment was quick and efficient. Our cabins were spacious and provided enough closet and storage space for the long journey. The ports were beautiful and easily accessible, even the one time we tendered was not an ordeal. We loved the music variety on board, the cleanliness of the pools and decks. There were plentry of bars with different themes and good music. As older adults we don't always find the music enjoyable. The snack stations were conveniently located to the pools or centrum areas. The Windjammer food was surprisingly better than many of the other cruises I've taken. I say surprisingly, because I prefer the dining room, I like to be waited on in a quiet atmosphere. But when we used the Windjammer for sole, it was great food. We didn't try the specialty dining this trip as there were not enough vegetarian options to make it worthwhile for the 1/2 of our group who did not eat seafood or meat. On that note, once the dining staff knew of their needs, they went over and above to provide protein packed vegetarian dinners. Not just salads and cheese. Since excursions were x5, we explored all options before booking. We did use the ships excursion in Messina ( unfortunately the G7 conflicted and cancelled) but we booked a volcanic hike in Santorini also and it was great, except the Calderon swim was not fully explained and much more difficult than expected. Our son loved The on board all all access tour on the Sea day. Would recommend this ship and itinerary to adults, not so much for young families.
