My husband and I have just returned from cruising the Hawaiian Islands. We did this cruise 17 years ago and were eager to repeat it. Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly. The ship is well appointed though our balcony cabin was small though there was adequate storage space. There was a cross section of ages on board. Quite a lot of children and youngsters as it was during the summer break. The Liberty dining room has a wonderful 'colonial' feel to it. There are plenty of tables for two and we never waited too long to be seated. The menu offers enough choice but there was no 'gala' dinner or lobster night. We had lunch at the Skyline restaurant when we boarded and breakfast the, next morning. It has the same menu as the Liberty, no evening dress code and a 3 star feel to it. The Cadillac diner is a good choice for breakfast which we discovered halfway through the week - quiet, relaxed without the bustle of the Aloha cafe. We used the Aloha for lunch each day. It was busy but you could always find a table. The service in the dining rooms and the diner was good. The staff throughout the ship were helpful and happy. They pride themselves on providing a 'family' atmosphere and do succeed. The captain is approachable and visual - around the ship. The entertainment was excellent - good production shows, entertainers and choice of music venues each evening. We did not participate in any of the activities. It is a busy cruise as the ship is in port every day. We did not use the ship's excursions which are very expensive as usual. I would recommend car hire if there are more than two people travelling together. The islands are so beautiful and the people so welcoming. Aloha!

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony
Cabin BA 9130
Small but adequate storage space. Balcony has an overhang so it does not get the sun.
