This cruise was chosen so we could see the beautiful coast of Maine and the pretty little towns tucked in the bays. It didn't disappoint-such charming villages and friendly people!

The staff on the independence is extraordinary! They are competent, friendly, fun and thoughtful. First Mate Andrew Harrison is skilled, knowledgeable and willing to share information about sea life as we spotted minke whales and seals. His deckhands are friendly and helpful as well as skillful; Haley Halstead is a definite asset to the crew.

Our cruise dining highlighted lobsters and the kitchen served them many different, delicious ways. The dining room servers were competent and entertaining. Jonathan Freelin and Mellicent Costarella in particular deserve attention for their competence and pleasant manner.

We were astounded at how large our room and the adjoining bathroom was! The beds were very comfortable and the furnishings attractive. Also, the balcony was well used!
