*Mega ships with super capacity DO feel SUPER crowded. Can't get into shows, daytime activities are jam packed, lines for everything, Windjammer can't keep up with capacity, embarkation and disembarkation lines are slammed (it's like they kept the same number of staff on the pier while the ships capacity doubled over the years). We're getting soured.
*If you want service/food like it used to be, it will cost you extra...for every thing. $15 small mojito. Extra charge in specialty dining (some like Giovanni's-excellent food and service...just excellent). Extra charge for cooking demos. Astronomical spa charges (even though the massage was nice) where they calculate 10 minutes into the 50 minutes to pitch you the spa products.
*Night time performances:
*Same decor as cabins in the 1990s
*Mattress thin, hard; pillows were terrible
*Cabin was clean, attendant was thorough and hospitable
*7566,7564,7562,7560 had a reflective film on the outside of the balcony glass that was for exterior decoration (some kind of lime green/reflective embellishment) but made the view from deck chairs distorted and purple/pink, not a clear view. I would imagine that cabins directly above and below a few floors also have this problem.
Cruise sponsored terminals have replaced anything that was authentic about Cozumel. That part is sad. Shopping is the same in just about every cruise company terminal anywhere. Commercialized everything. I don't think I need to come back.
