We chose this cruise because of the ports, and they did not disappoint. The ship, however, was another story. We had high hopes from the start, as our cabin steward Jose was perfection. Very friendly, couldn't do enough to serve us. He was wonderful. Our main dining waiter, Desmond, was super entertaining as well as competent. They were both excellent examples of what service should be on a cruise. Everything else, MEH.

Where's the soap? Shampoo? Bath Mats? Chocolate at turndown time? Nope, nope, nope! We asked Jose for the toiletries, and he was able to scare some up. Hope RCL didn't take the cost out of his gratuities!

We went to Chops and Giovanni's, the specialty restaurants on this ship. I was having trouble understanding why there is a surcharge on top of the surcharge you paid to eat here if you wanted surf and turf or lobster. Don't remember anything like this on other ships, Food was better than the dining room, but not exemplary.

Adequate, although the decor looked outdated.
