We wanted to cruise on Celebrity Eclipse having experienced Infinity a couple of years ago. We were delighted with the ship which was kept clean and tidy permanently and the staff were excellent. The food was very good and the service at the dinner table was first class. My wife has a number of food allergies and the waiting staff coped with this well.

The staff waiting on us were brilliant at the dining table and they made every mealtime a real pleasure. My wife was able to pick her meal theevening before to enable the chef to advise if the meal chosen was suitable and without the spices that seriously effect my wife.

The trip to reykjavik was very disappointing and the trip that we went on was around the housing estates, very boring and was not educational at all. It was more like an estate agent taking us around to view properties. The Icelandic trips were extremely expensive.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 1B

Cabin 1B

Cabin was kept very clean and tidy although our cabin steward was taken ill the day before our departure and we never saw him again, although someone did stand in for him. We had a toilet flushing problem and reported it to the steward and it was fixed within 30 minutes. A lightbulb went by the side of the bed and although the steward was aware nothing was done to replace it. I had assistance to get on and off the boat at Southampton as I have recently had an operation to remove half of my right lung due to lung cancer.
