Boarding was quick and painless - 40 minutes from having our cases taken away from the car, and then parking in Southampton, we were in the Windjammer having a drink and choosing lunch.

In the stateroom by 1pm, cases there, and we went down to dinner at 6 relaxed and looking forward to dinner. The food was good - and there was plenty of choice. The main restaurant served daily specials with a core menu of regular choices, all to a good standard, and the Windjammer at lunchtime offered around a dozen choices from the buffet including a daily carvery, Indian selections, Chinese, pasta, as well as various casseroles/pies. There was a good selection of salads as well.

If we chose something that wasn't to our taste, then we got something else, and ate well. Service was exceptional. Staff were friendly, and quick. Wine came quickly, and with a smile, and nothing was too much trouble.
