This was our first cruise on Royal Caribbean. We have cruised many times on Carnival, MSC and NCL and this rated as the worst. We didn't expect much from an older boat with a short itinerary but were disappointed with the lack of friendliness and service. We understand after cruising as much as we have that the better employees typically bid for the bigger boats but it seemed generally that many of the staff simply didn't want to be there. We had a party of 10 and all of us had the ultimate beverage package. When ordering drinks either at the pool bar or inside, there was rarely a thank you or even many times eye contact at all. Service was fair to poor other than the cabin steward Ivan who was exceptionally friendly and the main dining room servers Joseph and Hannah who were also exceptional. I came on the boat with a lower expectation than I would have on any NCL boat or the larger RCL boats but was still disappointed. Hopefully we caught them on a bad week.
