This was our 2nd cruise for the wife and i to russia this time we took along our daughter. We where on deck 8 in cabin 065 daughter deck 3 cabin 565 a single. The cabins are what you expect on a 25 year old ship a bit dated now 565 was noisey all the time 065 on the other hand was quiet but shakes alot as does the whole ship from stern to bow even the horizons bar shakes now it never used to but the old ship isnt getting any younger and showing her age anyway you get used to it after a while. The food was good in both the compass rose and the lido and the grill depends what you like no worries there. entertainment was very good and all the hard work by steve guy the cruise director paid of he works hard to get it right the comedian llod hollitt was spot on very funny and elvis impersonator jo king is the most convincing we have ever seen. All the staff from the waiters to the cabin stewards are well trained and friendly as always with thomsons. We where on the EMARALD and the CELEBRATION and the staff are always well trained. Would we go back on the spirit you might ask i dont think so as p&o now are getting more cost effective as thomson get dearer and their ships are modern and smooth at sea.

Cabin Review

Cabin del

065 no balconys on the spirit this cabin is ok plenty of draw and closet space and a good double bed. 565 noisey single cabin double bed one small wardrobe right opposite the staff entrance to the hospital.
