Sail Date: Jun 2017
Cabin: Grand Suite

Tacky ship filled with tacky people. We usually don't stay at hotels where these characters stay.

I do not think I could have designed uglier decor if I had set out to design the ugliest interior possible. Some areas were attractive, but the over-all Neo-Egyptian theme was more than a little off-putting.

The food was the best part. Restaurant table service ranged from excellent to inattentive.

Grand Suite

Cabin GS

Perfectly adequate cabin, in poor mechanical shape. The hydraulic door closer on the balcony door had failed some months previously, but had not been replaced until we complained. There was a crust of dried hydraulic oil on the door and window, and the heavy closure springs, needed for this marine application, created a personal injury hazard. Once we file a strongly-worded complaint, it was replaced quickly. Should not have required a passenger complaint.

Having the toilet out of service for a morning was inconvenient, to say the least.
