Embarkation: We drove from upstate NY to Boston. The port was easy to get to. Convenient parking. Police and NCL people have everything working smoothly.  We checked our bags at 10:15, got in line at 10:30, and were on the ship by about 11:20. Simple. Public Rooms: We were very impressed with how clean the ship was. Well decorated with Asian flair. Never a mess anywhere. The variety of public rooms was nice too. We could always find a quiet space on the boat, even though it was fully booked. Even by the pool, we found space--no problem. We enjoyed the authentic pub and night club. The exercise room/spa was also great. Not crowded and well equipped. Cabin: We had a picture window room on deck 5. It was nice. Larger than I anticipated. The two of us had plenty of space--even with all of the lugage we brought. The bathroom was big enough. The room used its space well. What was really nice was the service. Our stewards kept our room spic and span, without us tripping all over them. The towel animals were a cute touch. Dining: I honestly don't see how people could spend time or energy complaining about the food on this ship. We ate breakfast at Raffles. The selecction of food was impressive. Eggs to order--the way to go. Even though there was a crowd, we had no problem finding a private table, and again, everything was clean. We ate lunch and dinner in either the Garden or Windows. Both were great. The choices of appetizers and entrees were outstanding. The waiters bent over backwards to provide excellent service--exceeded our expectations. Ahmed, the maitre de in the Garden restaurant was especially professional, and really took good care of my wife and I. Absolutely nothing to complain about when it came to the food on this cruise. Also, there's no real need to go to the specialty restaurants. Entertainment: The entertainment was fun. NCL really tries to provide something for everyone. We enjoyed the magician. The SC comedy troupe was ok. The crew show on the last night was neat, and we had a good time at the Perfect Couple gameshow. We also did the beer tasting, which seemed pricey. But, we did get a large glass souvenir mug, discounted refills, and several "comp'ed" beers, so it was worth it! We also met some nice people on board, including a fun girl from Long Island, who gave us a lot of advice on cruising. Most of the people that we encountered on board were polite and having a fun time. The art auction was also fun to watch. Service: I can't say enough about how well this cruise was run. Everyone was so polite and accomodating. Example- a bottle of rum that we bought duty free in Hamilton was broken in transit by housekeeping. The Head of Housekeeping came to my room to apologize. NCL credited my account for what I paid. And, since you can't buy the type of rum that was broken in the US, the Duty Free store on the ship sold me a larger bottle of the same variety at the original price I paid. They went out of their way to make me happy. Laura, the on-board cruise consultant was also very helpful with all of our questions. She spent a ton of time with us as we talked about booking a cruise in the future. Again, very personable and professional. Shore excursions: We explored Bermuda on our own using the bud/ferry system. Honestly, I think you'd do better arranging your own excursions on shore. Overall: We had a great trip. Bermuda is a spectacular place. We had some reservations about cruising, because we don't like the idea of a structured vacation. NCL, however, converted us. The service was outstanding, and made for a great vacation. Next year, we're planning to take this same trip with our three small kids.
