We chose the 5 day cruise on the Grandeur of the Seas since it would be my 1st cruise experience. My husband didn't want it to be overwhelming but enjoyable. Although, I don't have much experience to use as a comparison, overall, I enjoyed myself. The ship sail was calm for most to the trip. We were not allowed to go on deck due to the weather for only an hour of the 5 days onboard. The positives were the dining service, food selection, entertainment: RC Entertainers, comedians, tribute to veterans and cultural and diversity celebrations. The only negative for us was the automatic and daily gratuity placed on our bill. Even this was explained and handled in a professional manner when presented to guest services. This vacation was the determining factor of whether I would cruise again and due to my experience I decided that I would. We received a great onboard deal on a 7 day cruise to the Bahamas on the Anthem...Can't wait.
