We've cruised over 50 times across different lines and twice previously on the Solstice. This time around certainly did not disappoint.

Embarkation was a bit chaotic as there were three ships in port at Canada Place in Vancouver. We received a letter asking us to wait until 11 AM before showing up at the pier but this was well after we made our flight reservations that got us into Vancouver at 8:20 AM. We were going to drop off our luggage and meet some friends for breakfast but by the time we got to the underground lot of Canada Place, we saw people already lining up for check in. We decided to skip breakfast and join those already waiting to secure our place in line. Our check in with Celebrity, security screening and immigration took us nearly 3 hours but those that waited until 11 AM took up to 6 hours to get through the same process. Ouch!! Once we boarded the ship and were handed our glasses of champagne, all was forgotten and was not going to let this ordeal stain even one minute of this beautiful sailing!!

There was evidence of ongoing maintenance on the ship to keep her in great shape. There were only minor infractions such as a little rust / chipping paint on the veranda and balcony furniture being a little weathered.
