Cabin: Celebrity Suite

We chose this cruise because we had taken the same cruise 4 years ago on the Celebrity Summit and loved it. In addition, we only had one week to work with for vacation and this was the best option. Overall we had a great time again and tried some new activities. Between the 2 of us we have been on about 9 different cruises so far - 4 of those I was a part of. So this was my 4th cruise with Celebrity.

Port

The Bayonne port, Cape Liberty, was very easy to maneuver. We had stayed in NYC for 2 days before (we planned our own pre-trip add-on) and took a car service on Sunday morning to Cape Liberty from Times Square. At 9 am in the morning, it was an easy and quick trip. The port was clean, bright, and the staff were very efficient.

Celebrity Suite

The stateroom was spacious, with a separate living space and bedroom. The bathroom has 2 sinks and a tub with shower with shower curtain, as well as a window in the shower with mini-blinds that looks out to the main room and through the windows to the outside balcony. Nice balcony with a round table and 2 chairs a footrests for lounging. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the main room. The main room has a sofa, chair with ottoman, coffee table, end tables, and a small round dining room table with 4 chairs. There is a safe and a small fridge in the room. There are lots of nooks to store things in in the main room. In the bedroom, there is a closet and vanity with large mirrors and lights, as well as places to hang clothes at each end. 2 bathrobes and pairs of slippers (the slippers are huge-sized - we don't use them, don't know if they have smaller sizes available). There are drawers in the closet for storage. We had the 2 beds pushed together to make 1 queen/king but you can choose to have separate twin beds if you like. 2 nightstands also have drawers in the bedroom. There is an umbrella, speaker, and binoculars in the room as well. There is a TV in the main room as well as the bedroom. The toiletries provided include bar soap, shampoo, shampoo/body wash combo, conditioner, and body lotion. The brand of these toiletries in the suites is Bulgari. There are no outlets in the bathroom. There are 2 outlets in the vanity area of the bedroom closet, and if you look in enough cabinets in the main room you'll find one or two more. The bed was mediocre with regard to comfort - when we asked they added some extra padding that helped. The sofa was pretty worn, so that you could see the mechanism for the sofabed inside. It could really use replacing. But the chair and ottoman were plush and comfortable. Although it could use some updating and a more comfortable sofa and bed, the room was very nice and we would definitely stay in that same kind of room again.
