This was a multi-generational vacation. The Rotterdam was a very nice mid sized ship. Although I would say the public area decor on this ship could use some updating.

The staff were extremely nice particularly the cabin stewards and the dining hostess.

We arranged some of our excursions outside of Holland America (e.g. Barbados Jolly Roger) but the Grenada excursion was very enjoyable. We stopped at a local spice shop where there was a demonstration given with history of the spices. There was great entertainment in the BB King lounge. The New Years celebration included a lot of dancing on the deck. Very enjoyable evening.

Cabin Review

Lanai Ocean-View Stateroom

The cabin was great. Plenty of room particularly when putting luggage under the bed. The bathroom felt just like a hotel. There was a show and a bath. Turn down service was excellent with the staff leaving animal shaped towels on the bed. The chocolates and fruit were great.
