This was our 4th Carnival Cruise. Staff was mostly friendly. Food wasn't quite up to par. Service in Dining Room needed work. Ship's captain and crew were outstanding. Ports were mixed. Sailed last month to Grand Turk, La Romana, Aruba and Curaqao (can't make that c but you get the idea. Grand Turk is a waste of time. Must be a money maker for Carnival. La Romana is 45 minutes from Punta Cana and arriving at 8am to 3pm, made it hard to really do anything. Aruba was really nice but a 2pm arrival didn't leave much time to do things. But we really enjoyed the island. Curaqao was just as nice.
The cabin was very nice and the steward was great. We had a room with new special lighting and it was a big plus. Light to the bathroom along the floor goes on in the middle of the night when you walk past. Dining Room was average food and Service. Once food starts to be served, service is taken. May not be servers fault as they are very busy getting courses out into the large dining room. Lido buffet was very good. Entertainment was lite but the show(s) were well done. Excursions are limited. If you don't want scuba, snorkel or beaches, there's not much else. Best kept secret is the 10th deck. From the Lido buffet where you can't find a seat, go upstairs to deck 10 and there's open seating. I Loved that part. Also 2 hot tubs on that deck that most people miss. Ship tour for $95 was worth it. Do it! Captain and bridge were worth it. I didn't mind the pink. Teen activity worked because we never saw her.
Very nice cabin. Plenty large. Huge window to outside. Need more electrical
