Additional details

Sail Date: May 2017

We chose this cruise because of the ports. We are glad that we did. My family had such a great time.

Ship: carpet in Deck 2 needs TLC. The pool was also smaller than I expected. Otherwise, ship is great!

Cabin: we stayed at 2006. Cabin is smaller. Port hole also small. Considering the price we paid, it is ok. Our room attendant also cleans room 2x a day!

Cabin Review

Cabin Ocean View (porthole)

Cabin is a little bit small, but was ok. It had an overhead bed which was cool.

Port Reviews

Rome (Civitavecchia)

We just did this on our own. A lot of walking but great. We booked Vatican Museum ahead, as the line is really long.

Taormina (Messina)

Outside the port, there was a taxi driver going to Taormina with spare seats at back. We took this, so we arrived in Taormina early. Going back to ship, we took public transportation (bus to Taormina-Giardini station, then, train to Messina).

Santorini

From old port, there are waterbus companies that takes ship passengers to Oia (by waterbus and bus) and back to Fira. We took one of these.

Make sure to allocate time if you want to go back to ship by Cable car, as line is pretty long.

Mykonos

We explored town by ourselves, then took local bus to beach (Platy Gialos).

Athens (Piraeus)

We used Piraeus Express Bus. Highly recommended: http://piraeusexpressbus.net/index.html

They took us to changing of guards, Acropolis and Plaka.

Rhodes

We walked to the Archaelogical Museum and Grand Palace of Master of the Knights. Both museums are awesome. Elli beach also walkable and nice, but it is pebble beach.

Naples

We used private driver who brought us to Amalfi and Ravello (no time unfortunately for Positano stop), and then last stop was Pompeii.
