Rarely do I provide feedback or reviews, however as this was the first time my family and I had cruised, I thought it may be helpful for those unfamiliar with this ship or those cruising for the first time.
The embarking and disembarking processes were fine. They ran smoothly and quickly. Everyone we encountered at the port was very friendly.
Overall, the ship experience was quite underwhelming. As others have posted, the ship is old and it really shows. The gold decor, worn carpet, musty odors and overpowering smell of diesel fuel in our stateroom hallway really brought it home. The ship has only one pool which is just not acceptable or practical. It's quickly overrun by adults, forcing the kids into a shallow wading area which is then taken by the teenagers. The kids splash area seemed like an after thought. Our stateroom was quite small, too small actually. There was barely enough room for 3 people to stand, one of them being a pint sized 6 year old. The junior suites were much nicer and really should be the minimum standard for a cruise ship nowadays. The bathroom was more like a broom closet with a mirror and shower head in it. We were forewarned during the muster drill that the ship's plumbing was "delicate" and they weren't kidding. The shower was very slow to drain and the water had two temps very warm and scalding hot. Our cabin steward was very nice and did a super job cleaning the room. We certainly didn't make her job easy.
Too small, life boat blocking a large portion of the view.
Embarking and disembarking were very easy.
