The NCL Sun is fighting the aging of the seas quite well. Public areas are kept up to high standards, though some might consider them dated. Cabins, quite the opposite. The dating shows, and only major remodeling will fix some of the "patches" that are being implemented.
The main dining rooms are very nice, service is just delightful....but the dinner menu is well below average when compared to our 35+ other voyages on various lines. The specialty restaurants that are squeezed into the Sun, do a terrific job despite limited space and decor. The lone disappointment in this area is Le Bistro. Menu and execution were lacking.
Sun hosts a variety of entertainment for everyone.....and they seemed to be well attended.
Showers are very small with outdated curtains that hamper any feeling of ample size. The splash pans are damaged ( Sun attempts to keep them repaired), but the look is that of " one star hotel". Room are tight, so layout efficiency, and redesign would drastically improve the flow......as well as new curtains and blockers. Come on NCL.....put some $$$ back into this otherwise fine ship!
Great seafood waiting for you all along docks. Many outstanding excursions here, but we've been here many times and really enjoy just walking around the city.
Just beautiful....shame on the rain!
Great walk around fro those who've been here in the past. Don't miss train ,if you've never been here!
First time here......walked to Raptor Center. This is one of best we've ever seen in our travels. Special facilities and care given....wonderful array of birds and stunning walking grounds. Fortress of the Bear is also worth your time, but this is simply a viewing area.... about an hour of your day. City is great to walk about.....nice little pubs for an afternoon libation!
Not much here..... needs lots of changes to attract us again.
It's a port that's truly fun to walk. If you like shopping...here you are!
This was embarkation port..... not enough time to get off again.
