7-Day Cruise just ended last Sunday, May 28, 2017. The family went on this cruise to celebrate my son's graduation from college. Our party had 4 seniors and 4 in their twenties. To save money, rather than fly, we drove from Missouri to Galveston, TX and caught the ship there. & day parking at the port cost us $70 per car. All had a wonderful time as there was plenty to do for each age group. Ship's staff was courteous and service was excellent. Ship was very clean. Shows/Entertainment were top notch. We took an inside cabin, mid ship on the 6th floor, Room 6575 which looked out over the 5th floor promenade. Cabin was clean and laid out efficiently with a king size bed. Took along an extension cord with outlets for charging electronics.which came in handy (surge protectors are not allowed due to ship's electrical system). Put our phones on "airplane mode" to avoid cell charges. Wife had a hanging cosmetic bag which saved space in the bathroom. Before trip we bought towel chair clips which came in handy for keeping our towels from flying off our deck chairs, especially when the ship was moving at 20 knots into a 12 knot headwind. Dining was excellent with the ability to order more than one appetizer/entree/dessert at the same time any time we wished. I like the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer which usually had only 3 shrimps so I generally ordered two. Friday night was lobster night so you can guess what I did. We ordered our Cozumel (shopping trip) & Jamaica (Dunn River Falls) thru Royal Caribbean and wasn't disappointed. They were excellent and if you use RC to book your excursion the ship won't leave before you get back. Our only disappointment with the Liberty of the Seas experience was the internet service which was for all practicable purposes useless. Max internet speed was 1 Mbs with often being disconnected within a minute or two. This was true regardless of location on the ship or ship's location. All in all we think a good rule of thumb would be that with the mandatory gratuities ($8.50 per day per person), souvenirs, etc. we about equaled what we paid RC upfront for the cruise. We didn't buy the drink packages as not being a good value. Most memorable part of the ship was the service and entertainment. Based on our recent experience we would recommend Royal Caribbean International to anyone who asks.

Cabin Review

Interior Stateroom

Cabin M

Good, clean cabin, well laid out with comfortable king size bed. Met objective. Center of ship on a lower floor which is less affected by ship's motion.
