We enjoy transatlantic crossings to enjoy the ship's amenities and to avoid suffering through long airline flights. This is our fourth crossing - the third going to Europe and one from Europe to the U.S.

We chose the dining package for our booking bonus, which gave us 4 specialty restaurants on the transatlantic leg and 3 on the added Baltic Capitals leg.

Since we have been to the Azores before, missing it due to weather and swells was not major. Missing Bruges, Belgium was a bit more disappointing but not a major letdown since we love sea days and are capable of enjoying the time.

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BC

I don't usually get a balcony room. I enjoyed our tiny balcony to read and write and review my pictures and enjoy penning my thoughts and consider all the blessings in life (friends, family, physical health, etc).

Yes, a bit cramped. Yes, a bit more costly. But, I saw a fireworks display while leaving Germany (starboard side balcony). You can't pay enough for that.

It would have been nice to see some sea life. But I didn't. I did see sunshine and felt warmth. These are pluses.

All in all, a great balcony experience that beat the pants off my usual inboard cabin with no windows.
