We bought this cruise 15 mos ago while on another Princess Cruise. We were sold the Maiden Voyage on the new Princess Majestic. We were sold a 21 day Mediterranean Odyssey. Unfortunately, we were never informed that Princess moved up the sailing date and we were NOT on the maiden voyage, or that we were NOT on a 21 day cruise, but 3, 7-day cruises. And, believe me, there is a big difference. Additionally, there were no port talks or informational lectures. The person who was supposed to do them, could not. They apparently don't have a plan "B". They started the lecture series and port talks after we got off the ship which didn't do us any good. Many other well-traveled cruisers we spoke with were also disgusted with boring food, dirtiness of the cabins, poor entertainment, lack of lecture series and port talks. They plan on letting Princess know in their "after cruise comments". I'm sure you will be hearing from them, too. We expressed our shock in the "Bait and Switch" we were sold and the cruise we ended with. Customer service on board the Majestic referred us to Corporation. After over 20 cruises w/Princess, we felt we should have received compensation for our extreme disappointment and displeasure. We spent over $10,000. on the cruise. They offered us $250. per person credit on our next cruise w/Princess! What an insult! The Majestic Princess is for new, cruisers from Asia who don't know what real cruising is, not well-cruised (former) Princess customers. We cannot express how disappointed we are with their lack of concern for former loyal customers and their poor attempt and correcting their "Bait and Switch" on this cruise. Obviously, since we have been on many Oceania and Viking cruises, they will be our choices in the future.

When we walked into the room, an old coffee cup and open soda can were still in refrigerator. The room had not been vacuumed. Long black hairs were in drawers and on the bathroom sink and shower. Our steward was a male w/short hair. Dust and dirt was on the furniture. Only partial amenities were in bathroom. The balcony was filled with dirty, standing water that hadn't be swept off.
I took sani wipes from gym, called in steward and we started cleaning the room w/sani wipes while the steward vacuumed, cleaned out drawers and apologized profusely.
