Travel Connections travel agent Nanette Campbell suggested this as our group's next ideal vacation; a bargain for the value received. Most everything was GREAT on this cruise ship. We would like to offer the following for improvement: 1) Due to the pricing we found it a better value to book our excursions thru an outside firm, Viator, and that was a good move. 2) We left the ship everyday to explore the various ports as we had never before been to any of them, but were disappointed at the lack of a variety of things to do on board after dinner in the evening such as interactive games(how about evening bingo)/entertainment in the theatres and the late night entertainers provided (NO HEADLINERS). 3) Our only true negative was this: There was very poor effort made in providing information regarding the tenders at the Cannes port. We had a trip booked with Viator and nearly missed it due to the early tenders being fully booked. No where did our group of 6 cruise veterans see where there was a limit to who could get off the ship and board a tender at a certain time. There were small notes on days 1, 5 and 6 reminding you to reserve a spot on a tender. In the end, we made it as stand-bys, but no one, absolutely no one was showing any interest in our possible dilemma. All this being said we would promote this trip to anyone we know and advise them how to avoid any issues we had.
Our cabin was teriffic. Applause to our travel agent for persuadeing us to upgrade to a balcony suite, our first ever of 10 cruises, and ceratainly not our last.
