Sail Date: May 2017

The Majesty itself is an older ship so things are a bit smaller and not as accessible. My mother is in a wheelchair which makes navigating a little rough. Once we learned where everything was, it wasn't overly difficult to plan a route to get there, it just takes a bit longer than if you could use the stairs or if the elevators had a better layout. The best thing about RCCL is the staff. They are amazing. On this particular cruise the best two were Nives from the dining room staff and Kitty from the cruise directors staff. Our cabin attendant was okay, but not the best we have had. The room was clean and we got everything we asked for. It was more of a personality thing. As usual the food was amazing.

The downsides are simply that the ship is older which means that it has a funky layout. There was only one true accessible dance floor which is in the Spectrum(hardly any events were held in the Spectrum). The Boleros and Centrum both had steps to get to the dance floor. We had to carry my mother up and down the steps to the Boleros each time. It would be an easy fix for them to put a ramp in at least the Boleros to make it accessible. The Centrum would be harder/impossible to put in a ramp. The Viking also had no dance floor unlike on the other ships. My final issue is that they still allow smoking in the Casino on the Majesty. The problem is that the smoke doesn't stay in the Casino. It drifts into the Schooner and Centrum. RCCL needs to go to entirely smoking free ships(aside from designated outdoor areas).

Port Reviews

Nassau

Its not a horrible port. If you have never been I would say get out and explore. I don't get off ship unless I am going to do Scuba.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Nothing spectacular. Just a place to get on and off the boat.
