Cabin: Mini-Suite with Balcony
This is our fourth time on the Dawn to Bermuda. We enjoy this cruise so much it is just a 45 minute drive from our home, and like many others on this cruise we live in Massachusetts. We will be back again soon, and we never get tired of Bermuda.
This cruise included a large group from the Harvey Robbins annual “Oldies Cruises” The benefit for the rest of us was that we enjoyed two shows of Oldies stars from the 1960’s, guitarist Billy Davis, singer Richy Rich, and former “girl group” members Margaret Ross of the Cookies, Louise Murray of the Jaynettes, Lillian Walker from The Exciters. Just wonderful and lots of fun we met the ladies and got to say hello later in the cruise. Those who were part of the group had more events with the stars than the rest of us, but it was still a great bonus.
The Boston weather leading up to the cruise was crazy going from 47 degrees to 97 in a few days with both rain and sun. Finally we had a beautiful day when we left, and aside from a bit of rain on the sea day the weather was perfect and in the 70’s. On the second sea day on the way home we had a very heavy fog all day and into the night which made it a bit eerie.

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin 11186 is the last mini suite next to the spa. The balcony is a bit larger and since it is the last cabin you have a view all the way to the back of the ship. It is an excellent location the spa is right outside the door and so are the elevators. The fitness center is up one flight, as well as the Garden Cafe. We wondered if there would be a lot of noise since the Garden Cafe was just above, but we didn't notice any. Since the dry dock they have removed the table and two chairs. It has been replaced by a hassock. We were told it made more room, but we would have preferred the table and chairs.
