The biggest plus was the cabin pick we made.this time. While usually opting for a balcony cabin on the mid-upper decks, near the elevator, we chose cabin 2104, on the swimming pool deck, right near the back elevators and the exit to the swimming pool.
An easy walk up one flight right into the buffet. This option made dining on our balcony as easy as sitting in the buffet. Once or twice we heard scraping noises for a minute or two in the evening, but virtually no noise from the stairs, lobby or elevator area.
The buffet area is laid out in a way to make it easy to get to the station of your preference - but only once you have learned where your items are to be found. Meanwhile, you can get a workout dodging the abrupt stop-and-turn maneuvers of the guests.
2104 was extremely close to everything, but cabins further to the rear of the ship would definitely be right below the buffet seating area, and we had heard that those cabins sometimes have noises of night-cleaning above. Knowing that it would be really good or really bad, we were overjoyed. Loved it.
