We couldn't have been more pleased with our 9 day Baltic States Cruise. All of the staff was so friendly and helpful. I understand the crew had a tough week prior to our departure in Copenhagen but we would have never have known. Everyone seemed so happy! Our cabin was cleaned at least twice a day and the public areas also seemed well kept. Cruise director was a lot of fun and extremely knowledgeable. We enjoyed all the shows especially Cirque Dream and Steam so much in fact that we went twice! My only negative feedback is that since we docked in Nynashamn rather than Stockholm, we had to pay for our transportation to Stockholm (which amounted to $100 for 2). Personally I feel that NCL should have absorbed this fee. But honestly, it was a trip of our lifetime. Already our next cruise vacation and you can be sure that it will be on NCL!

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BA

Watson was an amazing steward. Somehow he managed to clean/spruce up room at least twice a day. We also had animal towels on our bed every night. Bathroom was much larger that other cruise ship cabins we have had but the balcony was considerably smaller. My husband was happy that they had US news channels on the television :)

Port Reviews

Rostock (Warnemunde)

Debarkation was fast!! No lines, no waiting! We opted to do Warnemunde on our own

Copenhagen

Embarkation was a quick and seemed very organized. Our stateroom was available as soon as we were on board and our luggage arrived shortly thereafter.

Tallinn

Again another quick and easy debarkation. We had a friend that lives in Tallin so we did not do an NCL excursion.

St. Petersburg

Getting off the ship was a nightmare! Took us an hour and a half to go through customs. Thankfully our tour guide was flexible and we were able to wait for everyone. Getting back on ship was also a bit challenging. Second day was a bit easier.

Helsinki

Another slick debarkation. We did Helsinki on our own.

Stockholm

Very disappointed that we couldn't dock in Stockholm. Not happy having to pay $100/couple for a 75 minute bus ride. Rather chaotic leaving Stockholm as well. Place where buses dropped us off and picked us up (The Opera House) was too busy. Wish they would have dropped us off at the Port where we were supposed to have docked. This would have helped us connect with the tours we signed up for.
