My daughter and I cruised up the River Rhine from Amsterdam to Basel in May 2017.
Every aspect of the cruise was superb! The Amakristina had only been launched two weeks before our cruise. She is a beautiful ship. Our cabin was comfortable, the food was six star, the staff were extremely well trained and our Cruise Director Helene absolutey amazing. The excursions were well organised and I liked the way one had the choice of "active", "regular" or "gentle" so that slower walkers did not hold up the more energetic members of the group. If one is wanting exciting evening entertainment you won't find it on this cruise but we were quite happy to enjoy the piano playing and other
musical entertainment provided after dinner and then go to bed.
Cabin Review
Our cabin was quite small but perfectly adequate and the shower room roomy enough.
It was great having the big double glass doors onto the French balcony. Our cabin
cleaner was excellent and good extras like shampoos, hairdryer, umbrella etc provided.
