Sail Date: Apr 2017

I will start off with the embarkation process and experience. Arriving at the port checking through security and getting on the ship is a rather stressful annoying experience Id rather not remember. I get that there is a sense of urgency and those people who work at the port probably hate their jobs, but there could be a showing of professionalism and not treat customers like flocks of sheep. Now going onto the cruise was great. The sail away party was fantastic, lots of laughs, music and dancing. Cruise director Matt did an outstanding job of being an entertainer in that event and throughout the whole cruise. We stayed in a junior suite state room. Room was fantastic! Clean with a good amount of space. The washroom was very up to date and spacious and the balcony was too. Lets talk food and dinning. The main place we ate at was the Lido Deck( Like the Windjammer on Royal Caribbean). The food was very good, however the food options were very repetitive with not a lot of variety compared to Royal. The Formal night experience on this cruise was one to forget. Every server looked way overworked carrying like 16 plates at a time. The temperature was very hot in the dinning and the food took long to get to our table. The Pig an Anchor was probably the best food experience on the boat. They served a southern style cooking and the food was very delicious. My only issue is that it was only opened 2 days, in my opinion it should be opened every day on the cruise. My overall issue with the food service are that there are too many nuts in the food and way too many pork dishes. That needs to be changed considering what day and age we are living in. The entertainment that I took in was very nice. Lots of talented bands playing all over the boat and the one show I attended was pretty nice. The sports section was pretty nice, played mini golf and and rode that sky rider. The gym could be much better, more equipment could be added. The only issue I had with the Ports was at Grand Cayman. Would be nice if they didn't have you jump off in the middle of the water into a small boat to go over to the island. The pools on the ship were small and always filled up with lots of people. They need to have separate pool for kids. The disembarkation process was not a good one. All of the elevators were so packed for a long time we could not get on any for a very long time and we decided to check our bags off ourselves, after we were finally able to get on one and after that was just dealing with lots and lots of lineups. My advice is to let the cruise check off your luggage the night before instead of doing it yourself. This ship certainly had a boat load of couples for what is considered to be a "party ship". Overall the ship was pretty good, but there are improvements that could be made.
