We picked this cruise because of it offered a good itinerary and the schedule worked for us. When I booked I did not realized NCL Epic was such a huge ship (4200 passengers). After reading the reviews prior to leaving I was concerned about the stateroom designs and high number of passengers.

It turned out the stateroom layout is fine. We really enjoyed the balcony everyday. It was a little awkward to have the sink in the room but we learned to get used to it. I did not feel crowded the whole time except during breakfast around 7:45 to 8:30 at the Garden Café (buffet). There are long lines everywhere. Most people want to get breakfast at around that same time before joining shore excursions. The staff working in the Garden Café really work hard to keep the place clean and running smoothly.

In general, the food was good most of the time. The steak house Cagney (Specialty restaurant) was very nice. The Shanghai and Asian noodle bar were not up to par. The dinner service at Manhattan and Taste varied from day to day depending on who you get as the server for the evening.

Aft-Facing Balcony

Cabin B1

The stateroom worked fine for us. I love the balcony. The furniture and carpet were a little worn out but not bad. Despite the large ship, it is quiet most of the time. The separate bathroom and shower was not a problem. The sink is in the middle of the room and not in a very convenient location.

The bed was OK but not very comfortable.
