EMBARKATION: The embarkation process was flawless. We had spent the previous night at the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Hotel right on 17th street. Taxi picked us up at 10:45 and we arrived at 11 a.m. We were directed to some seats near the Captain's club entrance. Within 10 minutes a Celebrity representative checked over our documents and told us we would be boarding within a few minutes. Sure enough 5 minutes later we were told to proceed through the doors and went through a security screen and presented our documentation and credit card and were onboard by 11:30. Champagne and Orange Juice at embarkation was a nice touch.
ROOM Celebrity Suite #9096 We were concerned about not having a balcony at first but in the first 5 minutes those concerns went away. The view is truly is mesmerizing. You can sit on the sofa and gaze out the window for hours. This will be our room of choice moving forward. Joanna our Room Attendant was always asking was everything OK and really kept the room spotless. Paulo our Butler did everything for us from pressing our clothes to serving breakfast almost every morning. Then there was the one night we decided to eat in our suite, excellent job! He also served tea/coffee/sandwiches/pastries every afternoon and canapEs at night. In addition the dozen roses and the special gift I had ordered for my wife were there waiting for her!!!
