We wanted to try the newest ship in the fleet. I think they tried to squeeze too much on the ship and compromised quality and space. The show room had good intentions of mobility of seats, but they gave up the visibility for many people. Mid cruise they changed some of the elevators to a buttonless system, which caused some confusion. I think it will be a practical system once people get used to it. The food options feel redundant, with 1 menu option difference each night. As a person with food allergies, I find the food options were minimal and boring. I do appreciate the effort to accommodate when possible. My biggest frustration was the way we disembarked for excursions. Most of the time, everyone that had to go on a booked excursion, waited in line on the first floor, blocking the entrances/exits of those staying on the first floor. There didn't seem to be any sense of order or instruction. The final day, disembarkation was well organized in various rooms and floors. The new Carnival Hub is a great way to communicate with friends and family. The photo place, pixels, would make more money if they charged less. More people were taking pictures of their pictures, and were willing to keep the Carnival logo across them to save paying $20 per picture. The muster station drill was nice since we didn't have to line up outside 8 people deep. Our docking at curaçao didn't happen due to high winds but they scrambled to get more activities for an extra day at sea. Loved Guys Burger and the Wok place for lunches. I am not sure what Flik was supposed to be, but many people in the audience were wondering what the heck they were watching. And by the way, having a dance routine to the Titanic theme song while we are in a cruise ship seemed a bit tasteless. Just saying ... By the way, you gotta try the sky trek - it's awesome! Never a dull moment on The Fun Ship.
Nice room. I wish people next door didn't let their doors slam, but I just got used to it, everyday, and night, at all times of the day.
