We sail on Princess almost every year, and this cruise was slightly disappointing.

The itinerary is what we went for, and we only missed one port, Orkney, but that happens.

What almost never happens is mediocre food, and this was the big disappointment. We rarely go to the buffet, usually only for early breakfast. And this was a typical buffet. What was a major disappointment was the dining room menus. Cost cutting is the first thought you'd have. No lamb chops, rarely a decent steak. One evening the Dinner Captain was at our table of 4, and all of us sent back medium rare steaks 3 times for them not to be gray inside. He apologized over and over.
