We chose this cruise because of the timing and the ports of call. I feel like Royal Caribbean was trying to nickel and dime us to death. You had to pay for a bottle of water! On other cruise lines that I've been on recently (Viking and Oceania) they went out of their way to offer you complimentary water bottles as you exited the ship on excursions.

Other cost cutting items, no shampoo or conditioner in the shower, in the Windjammer when you got your silverware there weren't any spoons, you had to go get a spoon at a different location. Courtesy shuttles into town you have to pay for (complimentary on Oceania).

The ship was in need of some maintenance and repair. I saw areas of rust on the ship. The mirror in my bathroom had some damage on the edges. I noted the smell of sewage while walking down some of the hallways.

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D1

The cabin was fine, about what you would expect, other than the lack of shampoo and conditioner. It was serviced twice a day.
