Sail Date: May 2017
Cabin: Deluxe Suite

Why we chose this particular cruise was because of the list of ports on the itinerary, the free excursions offered, and the final destination, Athens; all of which encouraged us to make the reservation. We were delighted with the whole ship, from the dining areas, the lounges, the cabin, just everything exceeded our expectations. One thing was very striking, the morale of the staff. The happy atmosphere throughout the ship and the constant interaction of the officers with the guests helped make the Captain's often made statement 'Welcome to your home away from home', a reality.

The staff in the lounges remembered our preferred drink options and in particular the fact that I like my red wines slightly chilled, so a bottle was always kept in the 'fridge and offered when we presented ourselves at the lounge.

Another high light for us was when returning from a tiring excursion to Luxor some officers, staff, and a musical group, were at the gangway with cold towels, drinks and a warm welcome back to the ship. A very memorable experience.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Suite

Cabin D

Concierge cabin. Same as the deluxe, just a few additions., such as early booking options for excursions, bottle of champagne on boarding etc. Excellent cabin size and fittings with the walk in wardrobe just fantastic. The whole 'suite' was the best we have experienced after traveling on many other cruise lines. Expensive against other cruise lines, but well worth it.

Port Reviews

Good shopping, much better and cheaper than Dubai. Interesting buildings.

Athens (Piraeus)

Loved Athens. Got on the 'Hop on,Hop off ' bus. Stopped wherever we wanted.

Been there before so no excursion.

Just wandered around the town. Been there before.
