This was our first cruise on Norwegian. Booked this cruise for our 50th wedding anniversary for the date mixed with an exciting itinerary, 9-day Scandinavia Russia & Baltic From Copenhagen. We received the beverage, and meal plan as sign on bonuses. The food in the specialty restaurants were great, don't miss the Brazilian restaurant. I feel sorry for those who added the transatlantic B2B, but the Baltic 9 Day went well. The embarkation/disembarkation went relatively well considering the volume that needed to be handled, at least they used two gangways and two separate terminals. Passport security in Russia was a major backup. The dinner theater entertainment was spectacular, the comedian funny, but I was not impressed with the other entertainment options, and you had to pay for the dinner theater. All ship personal were extremely happy and helpful. A special call out for our cabin steward Joel who went beyond what was expected. I found the buffet extremely disappointing compared with Celebrity.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BD

A small cabin, especially small balcony, compared to the Celebrity balconies I had in the past. I was concerned with the possible noise level since this cabin was near the aft elevators. I needn't have been concerned as the sound proofing was excellent. We liked being aft as this was where most of the food was. But remember the entertainment was mostly located forward.

Port Reviews

Copenhagen

We booked the three day bus ticket even though we were only planning on using one day, as the three day offered us the three bus routes. Bus stopped at the must see Little Mermaid, otherwise it was a hop on and stay on the rest of the trip. The audio portion gave us a great overview of the city for someone like us with moderate mobility issues.

Rostock (Warnemunde)

This Berlin Tour for Cruise Ship Passengers - Private Day trip to Berlin for four of us (Six is maximum) was tailored to our expressed interest. Our tour guide, Jeremy Minsberg, was indeed a Berlin expert, and made the trip exceedingly interesting and informative.

Stockholm

This would have been a great tour if we docked at Stockholm, instead we docked at Nynäshamn. When I checked the ports online the dock sites confirmed Nynäshamn, but when I called NCL the next day they denied that was their plan. Nynäshamn introduced an additional, unplanned travel time cutting the sightseeing time, turning me into a dock runner, but the ship did wait for us, it just was a little nerve racking.
