We chose this cruise, as we wanted to go to Alaska, and we like freestyle dining. We had cruised the Sun a few years ago and loved it. This was a last minute booking.
Embarkation: a little over 3 hours and 10 minutes. We finished one line to drop our luggage, then had to go to 3 others. With one hour left to go people had to give up their water. There were seniors, families with small children, disabled, and there was nowhere to sit; no way to move handicapped PAX along. (No tent for bad weather)
Disembarkation: smoother. There was a long line. If you are meeting someone at a designated time get in line early. We took Uber to and from the port.
Cabin: We were assigned to 5569, which we discovered at 2:00-2:30 a.m. is under Indigo. They were moving carts or furniture. I called, and someone asked them to be quiet. Then it went on 2 more nights. I called Guest Services and was advised we could move to a different room. We packed and moved to the same room toward the front of the ship.
New formation of room: leaves around 12" on the side of the bed which runs into a desk, so you have to climb over at the end. Other side of the bed has a dropdown bed. Beds are high enough to store large suitcases. Plenty of plugs and a good hair dryer.
