  3. Celebrity Eclipse
Arrived at Southampton and within half an hour was on board and enjoying a lovely cocktail on board. The muster was the least stressful so far.....no need to bring the life jackets down and very entertaining video shown of emergency action different to the last time we used celebrity. First time on eclipse we have sailed with Reflection previously but was fairly new then and staff were a bit hit and miss. However Eclipse was well established and extremely happy staff all over the ship without exception. We ate mainly at moonlight sonata or buffet and happy with both. We had a drinks package the basic one but no problem all round the ship with any drink we requested. Also martini bar gave us the cocktails we could have and was very stress free. At the moolight sonata restaurant the wine flowed and never an empty glass! Wine and drinks at the buffet restaurant also no problems. The buffet restaurant had large aisles which meant you never felt you were crushing into people going round and there was plenty of selection. As usual food was not red hot but was very deliciious. Also plenty of seating. We did eat lunch and breakfast in the main dining room and found that excellent too. We had balcony cabin 8326 and room was good size and very comfortable. I have put a video of cabin on you tube. The martini bar was a real hub for early evening drinks pre dinner and hey were very entertaining with their bar tricks. I have put one on you tube - Martini bar tricks with cocktails. worth watching. The evening entertainment was average. Mainly broadway show stuff but watcheable. There was glass blowing on board which was worth watching. The casino was well attended most nights. Arrived St peter port. We walked to the german museum which is about 15 mins walk from port. Cost was £6.00 each and well worth it. Mainly german memorbilia but very interesting. It was a tender port and a little rough so took a bit of time. Arrived cobh. We went to the cobh heritage centre. It was 8.00 euros each and again worth the money. we saw titanic and famine in ireland exhibits. Arrived Dubliin. We have been many many times. We had to pay for shuttle 29 dollars for two of us. It looked like it could have been walked easily about 30 mins. We visited the usual temple bar etc. also an old pub james toner which has great guinness. Arrived Akureyri . Pretty little port. Just walked around the little shops. Not a lot to do but worth the stop. Arrived Reyjkavik. We had booked the blue lagoon with reyjkavik excursions on line and they were a lot cheaper than the ship. Around 130 dollars for the two of us. We were picked up at the port and dropped off and included the basic lagoon package. We brought the towels and robes from the room so we didnt need to hire them. You can wear the robes and towels and hang them up before going into the warm water. You can put silicone over your face and let it dry off. It was a wonderful experience. We were overnight reyjkavik and walked round the rown on the second day. Arrived Belfast. We used the ship shuttle again about £29.00 for two of us. Think it was about 45 mins walk otherwise. We then walked to the titanic building. We paid £9.00 and it was a brilliant place. Need about 3 to 4 hours. It was well worth the money. so much to see. You even get into a fair cart to travel up and down the ship building experience. It was really good.

Very relaxing and enjoyable cruise
