This cruise was the centerpiece of our trip to South Korea and Japan. It was our first time visiting the far east and we wanted a part of our trip to be easier and more relaxing so decided to take a one week cruise. We started our journey in gorgeous Seoul, South Korea for 5 days, then traveled to amazing Tokyo and got there a couple of days before the cruise. After the cruise we spent a day in beautiful Kyoto before heading back to Tokyo for 3 more days. It was a whirling of fun and new experiences! Diamond Princess was true to our expectations of relaxation and discovery of the cities of Nagoya, Nagasaki, Busan and Kagoshima. We also loved all the people we encountered throughout our journey. Our cabin steward was very friendly and our room always looked fab. Our table waiter and jr. waited were also like friends from the first visit to the dining room. They treated my family like their own. I do not include gluten in my diet and my waiter always kept that in mind and exceeded my expectations. I'm from the US and we do not have Japanese baths, so my daughter and I really wanted to give it a try. The Izumi baths ended up being my favorite area of the ship. I visited 4 times and I was always welcomed and renewed. Highly recommended this experience if you can leave your inhibitions and "clothes" behind. Japan has an incredible culture and past and this cruise gave us a taste of it and made us want more. I will be back one day and will sure to include Princess if available in my plans. We also enjoyed the morning stretches "Japanese style", the line dancing classes, the Japanese language class, the gym, the buffets, and the pools and jacuzzis. Our room was also great, even though we were 4 adults in it. Another thing we loved were the goodbyes at each port. Specially the one in Nagasaki, the children's orchestra was just so special! It brought a lot of joy to our goodbye. We really loved Nagasaki even though is was drizzling most of the morning. The other ports were also great! I really recommend adding Kyoto to this trip. It is a wonderful city. We specially loved the area where the Bamboo Forest is. I will wrap this very long review with these words: We loved it all!! Thank you Princess for an amazing experience. We will return.

It was what we expected. 4 adults in our cabin, so it was a big tight. Having our lovely balcony helped. We also enjoyed the wide selection of movies in the TV.
