Cabin Review

I spoke at length about the cabin in my general review, but just to reiterate, if you can afford a suite, then I would say, book a suite. D750 is situated on Dolphin Deck (deck 8). It was very nicely 'appointed', with a lovely bedroom with what I considered a very comfortable, queen size bed - my husband thought it was a bit too soft, - lots of drawers and shelving for storage, and a large, walk in wardrobe with lots and lots of coat hangers, some drawers and the room safe was located in this area. There was also a second television located on the wall in the bedroom, and a couple of times my husband would be in the living area with the television on and I would be in the bedroom with the television on, and it was could be a case of 'dueling tv's' because the sound of one could be heard by the person in the next room, watching 'their' tv. First world problems, I think not!

The lounge/living area was very comfortable, a couch, two lounge chairs a coffee table, desk and chair to the side of the room, and a wet bar and mini fridge, housed in a unit that effectively divided the living room from the bedroom.

A large glass sliding door to our balcony, allowed plenty of light into the suit (as well, there was a glass sliding door in the bedroom, allowing access to the balcony), so plenty of natural light there as well. The drapes were also very effective at not allowing outside light into the room, if you wanted a nice dark room to sleep in.

The bathroom was great! Lots of storage for toiletries, make up, etc., large mirror and marble vanity, flooring and tiles. The spa bath was an asset, but proved useful when rinsing off our snorkels, masks and fins, after excursions ;) . The shower was quite large, and the fact that the toilet was in a separate room, with it's own hand basin, proved handy, especially if you are not 'into' sharing your showering or teeth cleaning with someone wanting to use the toilet at the same time!

I don't think either my husband or I quite worked out the light switches, even after 13 days, but if we pressed enough switches, we eventually got light where we needed it :D

The other big plus for this particular cabin, was the fact that it was at the very back of the ship, so the end of the corridor, which meant that there weren't any other passengers coming past our door at various times of the day or night, which meant, peace and quiet. The only other cabin at our end, was a mini-suite, and we only saw the occupants on a couple of occasions if we were coming or going at the same time, other than that, we could have been the only people on board, APART from a couple of nights when there were band performances in the Vista Lounge which was situated below us on Deck 7. I must admit, there were only a couple of nights that I noticed the music from the Vista Lounge, and that room was utilised morning, noon and night for the length of the cruise.
