We are experienced travelers (cruise or otherwise), this was our 12th cruise. Very much enjoyed this cruise. Reality tho is that we booked for the ports of call and the cruise line was irrelevant. But feel we got great service and excellent value. Very happy with Princess

Cancelled the Princess shuttle from Gatwick when we realized how easy the train was, saving $120 per person. Train is right in terminal, and no train changes. If you can handle your own luggage we'd recommend it. A quick cab in Southampton and we were there

Smooth embarkation. Liked being given a number and taking a seat to wait our turn to check in rather than the usual long standing in check in lines (particularly after a red eye flight from North America)

Cabin Review

Oceanview (obstructed view)

Cabin OW

We usually book balcony or suite but there were none available, However with so much shore time, and north Atlantic weather we would not have utilized a balcony nor needed the suite space. Happy with the room and window view

Port Reviews

St. Peter Port (Guernsey)

Pleasant stop, not particularly exciting. Time could be better utilized elsewhere (Dover?)

Cobh (Cork)

Train station is right at the dock!

Dublin

Viatour we booked was nice, but should have spent more time in Dublin rather than Glendalough

Invergordon (Inverness)

rented a car and drove to Spey for whiskey tours. JUST enough time for this. Cab to Inverness is only practical option unless you book Invergordon rental car early enough. Few trains

Edinburgh (South Queensferry)

Lots to see here, overnight would be great

Le Havre

Drove to Vimy Ridge due to 100th anniversary (we're Canadian) long drive and very expensive tolls & gas (even for France!) Should have done Normandy instead

Belfast

Fantastic local history of "the troubles" HOHO was fine.

Greenock (Glasgow)

Rented a car and looked up family, plus drove to Sterling
